With the end of year fast approaching I thought I'd bundle together some of the DIY gifts I have created for my kids teachers in the past. Now that they're in Primary school most year groups do collections and vouchers but I know some people like to do something a bit more personal and these were great for preschool staff!
- Smores Kit
These are so easy to throw together, super cheap and really cute!! The jars are Kilner and I found the little chalk board labels in Hobbycraft.
2. Staff Garden Tray
I loved this one! I found the tray in Poundland!!! Best Buy of 2024... actually and the cups and citronella candles!! The idea being they could enjoy the drinks and sweets during the last week of term which I think was really hot that year and could each take a little candle home for their garden.
3. Seed packets
These are great if you have lots of teachers to buy for. They little paper hearts with seeds in them. I bought these from Etsy back in 2023 I think and they came with the lovely labels on but you could easily make your own custom labels and packaging!
4. Homemade Lemonade
This is actually my gift for 2026, still debating whether I can make enough for each teacher or perhaps just send in a couple of bottles for the last week of term for them to enjoy as we have another heatwave coming in. This is my Grandma's recipe and my incredibly talent sister @lucyclaireillustration designed these really cute recipe cards (we called my Grandma Bumper) I got these bottles from Amazon but Ikea have some cute ones for £1.50 per bottle!!
and you can even upgrade it with a nice bottle of Lemon Gin to make what we're calling an Audrey Twist Cocktail (in memory of our lovely Grandma).
5. Lastly, if you're strapped for time, this beautiful print... again by my sister @lucyclaireillustration... is the perfect last minute gift!
