How to use wall panelling in your kids room

I cannot get enough of wall panelling, it's such a fab way to add colour, depth and texture to a room and I can't see this trend expiring for a long time. We see it used everywhere in interior design and I often recommend it to my customers as a great way to make wallpaper go further and it pairs so nicely with repeat patterns.

I thought I'd round together some of the lovely photos I have been sent by my customers to show how you can use it in a nursery or kids room...

I love how this panelling covers 3/4 of the wall height, leaving a small surface area for wallpaper. It helps create a feeling of height and space and really opens the room up.

This is the perfect example of how wall panelling can help give a warm and cosy feeling to a room. The use of architrave along the top creates a ledge for extra decor which in this case I feel really helps pull the whole room together.

I absolutely love the colour of this panelling, it's Farrow & Ball Treron, and it goes so perfectly with our English Country Cottages wallpaper. People often worry that a strong colour will make a room feel smaller but used correctly it can create depth and height and best of all, if you're in Britain like us...warmth.

Again a fab use of colour, brightens the room up and leave space to get creative with the decor above it. This photo features our Warm Winter Star fabric wall stickers which can be removed without leaving any marks or residue so you could even mix it up and do something seasonal.
